Amelia is still a ghost and
Joshua is still in love with her. They
have the support of family and friends as they try to demolish the gate between
Joshua’s hometown and the netherworld.
Amelia is threatened that if she doesn’t turn herself over that the
demons will take someone she cares about every week until she relents. Amelia joins with the Seers of Joshua’s
family and they come up with a plan to destroy the gate, but it might be at the
cost of Amelia and Joshua’s relationship.
This is the final book in the Hereafter trilogy. The characters are easy to follow and the
rules of the ghost world are clear. The
characters worried a lot about what was going to happen, which got a bit
tedious and once the real action started it seemed out of left field. I felt dissatisfied with the ending, which is
sad because it was such a good series until that point. If your library has the other two books in the series, then your readers are going to want to know what happens to the characters.
