Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa - ADVISABLE

Kagawa, Julie Iron Traitor, 349 p. Harlequin Teen, 2013.  $10.  Language: R: (62 swears and 3 ‘f’); Violence: PG (some fighting and sword wounds); Mature Content: G.

Ethan’s nephew Kiernan is missing.  Not only does his sister, Meghan the Iron Queen, want his help to find him, but so does Annwyl, Kiernan’s fast fading summer fairy girlfriend.  Ethan is going to have to go back into the Nevernever in order to find Kiernan, who is possessed with the need to save Annwyl from fading.  Ethan doesn’t realize how high the cost may be to save her, nor does he understand how willing Kiernan is to pay that price.

Traitor is definitely the definitive word in this title.  Fans of Kagawa’s Iron Fey series will want to read on.  The emotional turmoil remains high – it can be very draining if a student reads them one after another.
