Flora is the daughter of one of the most powerful families in Italy, which is in a terrible feud against the other family, the Medici. Flora's mother despises her, thinking she is ugly, but Flora will prove that looks aren't all that matter.
I liked this book, though it was a little bit gruesome. It is interesting because it made me want to go and study more on Italy's past.
