Ford, Christine, Ocean’s Child. Random House Children’s Books. 2009. PICTURE BOOK. As a mother and her child row to shore one night they say good night to all of the creatures that live on or by the sea. Great illustrations and easy to follow rhyming text. However, the book will not grab a lot of children’s attentions unless it’s near bedtime or they’re really into animals.
