We meet the new
girl on the block, Astrid, from the point of view of a girl who must hide from
her. Astrid is a typical mean bully, so this girl finds any excuse to stay
inside that summer like knitting and popsicle stick building creations. But when Astrid needs her help will she be
willing?
Overall, this is
cute story with a nice lyrical rhyme to it. But I am not sure that students
will buy into the ending with its sudden change of heart. Mostly, I don’t think
that students will find the subdued artwork very appealing.
