When Katie and
Andy’s well-meaning parents take the sight-seeing in their new town, they are
so so bored. When they enter an apple orchard, the siblings quickly realize that
not only is something not right but something is very wrong. Can they save
their parents from an evil witch? And the whole town from becoming apple heads?
The whole applehead thing sounded pretty lame to me, but these author-siblings know their craft. The many cliff hangers are skillfully combined with unexpected supernatural components in just the right way. I admit to being creeped out, and I think students will enjoy this read.
