Jess and his friends realize that their good friend, Thomas, is
not dead but is being tortured by the Library.
They band together and use their resources to try and locate Thomas, and
in the process learn how corrupt the Library has gotten. With the help of old friends and shady
characters, Jess and his friends begin to see more clearly their desires for
the future.
I had much of the same
feelings about this book as I did the first in the series. Interesting idea, but a drawn-out plot. Although there is a lot of action, it still
felt slow and uninteresting. The
violence is the death of a friend who is shot.
