Gordy, 12yo, has a bright future coming as an elixirist, a potion master.  One day Gordy is working in the lab with his best friends, Max and Adilene, when they receive a package from his Aunt Priscilla.  Gordy knows he probably shouldn’t open it, but he does any way. What he doesn’t realize is that he has started the race to posses The Eternity Elixir. Whoever controls the Elixir can also control The Vessel, the source of every potion maser’s power.

There are many amusing details in Cole’s world-building, but also some absurd ones.  Like Max – who is highly annoying for me as an adult.  But the adventure, danger, and excitement outshines the minor problems.  I now need to get my hands on the next two in the series!
