Annabelle is tired of trying to be okay and tired of the memories from
The Taker, so one night Annabelle starts running and doesn’t stop. Sick of feeling helpless, Annabelle decides
that she wants to do something about her fears and sadness and commits to running
across the United States. With the help
of her grandfather and his RV as well as a supportive brother and friends back
home, Annabelle works through her grief, guilt and the events leading up to the
night the Taker changed her life forever.
I devoured this book is two days. Annabelle’s feelings and story bring
to light the personal side of the gun control controversy. I adored her grandfather and the story unfolds
effortlessly between before and after. The
violence includes a bloody shooting and the mature content is underage drinking
and a few sexual references. Great read
that I would highly recommend.
