Blue is a cute bird that wakes up one winter morning to find what he thinks is an egg in his nest, but is actually a snowball. Blue goes around New York trying to find Egg’s mother, but eventually gives up looking and decides to take care of Egg himself. Egg and Blue have a great winter together and as spring comes, Egg starts getting smaller. Finally one morning Blue wakes up to find Egg is gone, but in his place is a pretty spring flower.
The illustrations are very cute and the story is a great lesson on friendship.
