Farrar, Straus, Giroux, 2010.  Language: PG-13 (10 swears, 1 ‘f’).  At first Olivia, 17, finds the attention flattering.  She has won a major writing award sponsored by a famous Catholic priest author after all.  At first his invitations to work on her writing, the small gifts he gave her and the after school sessions were heady and flattering.  Now, however, it feels down right creepy.  Olivia wants out.  While the priest is Catholic, this book goes beyond the trite look at abuse and into the more subtle forms.  HS – OPTIONAL.
