Wargin, Kathy-Jo Alfred Nobel: The Man Behind the Peace Prize, illustrated by Zachary Pullen. Sleeping Bear Press, 2009. $17.95. PICTURE BOOK. Meet Alfred Nobel, the man who created dynamite and the man who left a legacy of recognition for those who work to better the world. Pullen’s illustrations are the highlight of this short book. I have read many of Wargin’s books and enjoyed them, but this one didn’t not carry her usually fluidity of prose.
