In this choose your own adventure, you pick a character that is assigned to find particular items on an island and bring them back to a famous merchant. During the process you keep track on a log at the beginning of the book of the points and gems your decisions earned you. You also keep track of the damage you inflict on others, which is determined by a punch out spinner.
There are two options to follow in this graphic novel, one in which you only jump around the story as you make decisions and the other adds on to that a complex tally keeping system. It was too much for me to find enjoyable, but this may appeal to some readers, particularly those who are already familiar with this format in dungeons and dragon type of games.
