Celine Rousseau is moving to New Orleans to
avoid a hidden past. As a 17yo,
she is housed by nuns in a convent and hopes to blend in. But Celine catches the eye of Sebastian, the
leader of a dark underworld in the city.
As girls start dying, Celine becomes embroiled in the mystery
surrounding the deaths and trying to decide if Sebastian is good or bad.
This is a fun supernatural adventure that
takes place in the 1870’s. The setting
is gothic and the characters are well developed. The popularity of the vampire genre has faded,
but this book is well done and will capture readers attention. The content includes heavy make-out session,
death and a decapitated head.
