Teddy Mars: Almost an Outlaw (Book #3) by Molly Burnham -OPTIONAL

Burnham, Molly Teddy Mars: Almost an Outlaw (Book #3), 271 pages. Katherine Tegen Books (HarperCollins). $7.  Language: G (o swears); Mature Content: G; Violence: G.

In this third book of the series, it’s now summer break and Teddy is thrilled, a whole summer for trying to break a world record with his best friends Lonnie and Viva. But things come crashing to a halt when his mom goes back to work and his great aunt Ursula comes to babysit them all for this summer. Her favorite thing in the world is RULES. Additionally Teddy is put in charge of little brother, The Destructor, who can be a total messy nightmare. He know things will be bad but finds out rules can be surprising good all at the same time –that is until his beloved neighbors Pigeons were put on the chopping block.

I have to be honest I am super sick of this series, even though its wholesome, sweet, and well written. Its overly long, very repetitive, and I am tired of reading about Teddy being tortured by his life. Because all three books are SO similar, I highly recommend the first one only. Best for 3-5 grade readers.
