Crow washed up on the
shore of Osh’s island as a small baby and loves living with him and being
friends with the neighbor lady, Ms. Maggie.
She is a curious child and at the age of twelve, she can’t help but try
and investigate where she came from. The
town folks avoid her because some believe that she is from the leper colony
that used to be on an adjoining island of Penikese.
Crow follows clues that lead her to Penikese and finds more than clues to who she might be in the form
of a criminal and a buried treasure.
I
loved this book. The characters are
endearing and you can’t help but love Crow.
The story line is action packed and quick paced. I am already recommending it to others to
read. Also the audio reader did a fantastic
job and the cover is amazing.
