Lou and her friends have many adventures. But when they want to take their adventures
up the tree, Lou is not sure that she can do it. In fact, she comes up with as many diversions
and excuses as she can to avoid the tree.
I like that Spires doesn’t show Lou succeeding on her first
try. I even like that she shows Lou and
her friends choosing to do some thing different for the rest of the day after
Lou fails. I do not, however, like that
she doesn’t show Lou trying again and eventually having success. A missed opportunity
for sure. Spires illustrations are as
adorable as ever.
