Quirky little personifications accompany excellent basic information about 60 rocks, minerals, crystals, gemstones and fossil types.
Now I have to go back and buy the rest of the books in the series (Astronomy, Periodic Table, Biology, Physics). If they are half as well-written, they will be valuable introductions to my collection.
