16yo Ivy Yu is on a bonding trip to Japan with her mother. Unfortunately their curated trip is populated mostly by senior citizens - except a boy her age and his dad, who is near Ivy’s mom’s age. Since her parents separated, Ivy has been harboring hope that they will get back together and she is also battling depression on her own, as her mother feels Ivy can just “get over herself". Keith, the other teenager on the trip, agrees with Ivy that their parents shouldn’t get together. Will the pair be able to sabotage their elders?
Chu focuses mostly on Ivy and her relationships with her parents and gives us beautiful looks around Japan. And the growing relationship between the two teens will satisfy romance readers.
