16yo Quinlan McKee is a professional
closer, which means that she goes into a home and pretends to be someone she is
not in order to help families in their grieving process. As Quinlan takes on the persona of newly
deceased persons, she has a hard time remembering what is real and what is
acting. As she takes on the job to be a
girl named Catalina Barnes, Quin feels a special connection to Catalina’s
boyfriend and parents, and she depends on her friends Aaron and Deacon to help
her remember herself.
I enjoy this
series because the storyline sucks me in, and I can’t wait to find out what
happens to the characters. Although it
helps to read the first and second books in the Program series (they go
together and involve Sloane and James), this book is a totally different
character with a new story and this book has a cliff hanger ending and ties to
the forth book The Epidemic. The
swearing is over the top and totally unnecessary which is sad because it moves
the book to optional. The mature content
is off page sex and the violence is a punch to the face.
