Jessie is
starting high school at the end of the summer, which is definitely on her mind.
In the meantime she journals her thoughts about her enemies, her best friend,
the boy she likes, how she is different from everyone else, and adventures at
the local mental institutions fenced in campus.
Told in journal
style format with fun and funky illustrations this is a creative read. There
are a couple of problems with it, it reads like a book for 3rd
graders; easy to read, the cover, cute illustrations, and short but the content is geared
for middle school readers. Another issue
I have is that the story is pretty boring, it seemed personal, like
something you would write in a journal just for you, not for other people to
enjoy.
