In this second story about the Willow family, who have moved into an old home built on a hill infused with magic, Derek hopes to buy a train ticket to visit a friend from their old neighborhood. After his plan to earn money by mowing the grass is thwarted when the power mower quits working, he and his siblings discover a push mower that is raring to go. Who would have thought that a rusty old push mower could be so difficult? With a touch of magic that creates humorous challenges for the Willow children, this book is a good introduction to fantasy for younger readers.
