Monaghan, Annabel, A Girl Named
Digit. Houghton Mifflin, 2012. Pgs. 187. Language: G, Violence: PG,
Sexual Content: PG
Digit is 17 and a genius, only she
doesn’t want everybody to know it. Digit likes to pretend with her friends she’s
just like them-only while watching a show with her friends, she cracks a
terrorist plot. The FBI needs her help and stages a kidnapping. Will she be
able to help them stop the terrorists and return to her normal life?
The plot is fun and moves fast.
This mystery adventure mixed, with a little clean romance, has great characters
and does a good job of holding the reader’s interest. Readers who like spies,
action, and adventure with well-developed plots will enjoy reading this book.
