Prudence the moose is the quiet, shy one, while Moxie the Raccoon is the one who will take any dare sent her way. Prudence doesn’t always like it, but she does like Moxie. When Moxie takes on a dare with terrible consequences, Prudence is still there to be her friend. The off-beat illustrations are my favorite part of this picture book – the message is good, but it won’t sell as much as the illustrations. EL – OPTIONAL. Cindy, Library-Teacher.
