Argentinian-American soon-to-be senior Julieta is spending her summer divided between a summer writing workshop and working at her parent’s struggling restaurant. One of her writing projects is to publish online, and soon she has a mysterious online co-writer. Could this mystery person be the start of Julieta’s own happily ever after between three possible choices: Lucas - the childhood BFF, Calvin - the quirky boy next door, or Ryan - the rich boy with surprising depth? Will Julieta find her Romeo or something entirely different?

This book was pretty middle of the road for me. Some of the passages were pretty, but as a whole, fairly average fluffy romcom material. Some of the content could have had more depth - Julieta’s family’s struggles post-pandemic, or more self-reflection on Julieta’s own hopes and dreams. The bulk of the text deals with these three boys and the issue of are-they-the-mysterious-co-writer-or-not wasn’t very high stakes. So what? Why does it matter who it turned out to be in the end? Overall, if you need a cute romcom to add to your library, this one has some nice representation for the Argentinian community.
