'A' is a teenager who wakes up every day in a new body, never the same body twice. One day, they inhabit the body of Justin and spend a perfect day with Justin's girlfriend Rhiannon. 'A' is drawn to Rhiannon again and again, in different bodies, eventually telling her what is happening. But can they ever have a relationship when nothing stays the same?
I was immediately sucked into the story. The plot device of ‘A’s character allows for a fascinating look at dozens of different lives - different races, genders, and mental health. As far as a classroom library would be concerned, it does feature a variety of sexualities (good LGBTQIA rep), but with just minor instances of making out or lying in bed with clothes on. This happens regardless of gender or sexuality. There is one storyline of a character struggling with suicidal ideation that could be triggering, but I do think was treated well with respect. This could also be a really interesting text for an ELA class - I'm just thinking of all the writing projects you could do with it.
