Newly graduated Josie De Clare has retreated to the moors of northern England to the castle that her now deceased father purchased as a surprise for her. As she decides what to do with her life (too late now to start university in the fall, but maybe in January). Then she discovers hidden letters – love letters written to Josephine De Clare by Elias Roch – the bastard son of nobleman from the 1820’s. Josie can’t be this Josephine, can she?  And she can’t fall in love with a man who dies almost 200 years before she was born, right?

While you are reading, you may really want this to be a time travel romance mystery. I do love the English accents involved and Josie’s intense desire to find love from someone as she struggles to find her new footing. And then unfolding to what really love looks like – from friends and from others. Very sweet and touching.
