Artemesia is more than happy to be a Gray sister and help in their vital work to send the spirits of the dead to the other side before they can become revenants and need to be exorcised. The most dangerous spirits have been confined in various relics, but Artemesia is near when an extremely powerful relic is broken and now she is sharing her body, wrestling for control, with that spirit – she is possessed, but in control. But that possession drags her to the attention of those who control her world and have ulterior motives for one who proves to be so powerful.
