Zane Obispo is just a normal kid who spends his days climbing all over the volcano near his house in New Mexico. Normal except for his limp. When a plane crashes on the volcano and a girl shows up at his doorstep Zane is launched into a new world where and ancient prophecy ties him to the Aztec god of death. Zane is the only one who can save the world, or destroy it. 

I loved reading this book. It was funny and full of great characters. It was really cool to watch the characters develop over the course of the book.
