Night, P.J. Best Friends Forever, 144 p. Simon, 2012. $6. Content:
G. Amy feels left behind when her
best friend moves across the country.
Whitney, the new girl in town, seems eager to be friends, however and
the girls start spending time together.
Whitney, however, seems to be overly fond of her old doll collection –
and overly possessive of Amy’s time and friendship. Maybe Amy should get far away – or maybe Whitney has other
plans. Ok – I thought this one was
truly creepy! I had a hard time
finishing it – that creepy! EL – ESSENTIAL; MS – ADVISABLE. Cindy, Library

Night, P.J. Is She For Real? 141 p. Simon, 2012.
$6. Content: PG (creepy,
not bloody). Even moving to a new
town, Bethany’s life is pretty perfect.
She has a new 7th grade crowd, she has a boyfriend and Nate,
the boy, has even given her a beautiful old ruby ring. But there is a mysterious evil in
Warwick and it seems to have attached itself to the ring – and to Bethany. Who will ultimately be in control? Night’s books are delightfully
creepy! EL – ESSENTIAL; MS –
