Double Double by Jenny Valentine-OPTIONAL

Valentine, Jenny, Double Double. Hyperion, 2010. Language: PG-13 (20 swears, 2 “f”s), Violence: PG-13, Sexual Content: PG

16-year-old, Chap finds himself in yet another hostel, a stop-off for impossible kids in London. Hs life changes when an opportunity for him to be Cassiel fall in his lap. Cassiel, another missing boy, looks just like Chap and would be the exact same age. Chap decides to play along and gain a family for the first time ever. Only he finds it difficult to be someone you’re not; especially when that someone is hiding on even bigger secret. Does Chap have what it takes to be Cassiel? Who is Chap?

This mystery will leave you wondering. It starts slow and the language is a little excessive as it doesn’t add to the scenes. But, overall, the characters are likable and to book is a decent read. Readers who like mistaken identity fiction and missing person stories will enjoy reading this book. MS, HS. OPTIONAL. Reviewer: Jessica Moody, Library Media Specialist, Olympus Jr. High.
