The gingerbread girl receives animal crackers as a birthday gift and they run away. This sets the stage for disaster when a hungry fox tries to trick the animal crackers into coming with him leaving Gingerbread Girl to save the day. I suppose if you are into talking cookies and crackers this would be a great book. The story is written in rhyming couplets but seemed forced and the flow was choppy at times. NO.
