Meet Becca Aldanine, a girl who has been taught all her life to prepare for the worst. This has been her mantra but also what has influenced her family as well. Although on the surface they seem like wise words, the Aldanine family takes it a step further and starts micromanaging Becca. Suddenly preparing for the worst doesn't seem all that great, especially when her family arranges her to marry someone who they approve of. Will Becca be able to rise above the heavy influence her family has on her and become someone new?

I thought the premise was clever enough- the idea of planning for the worst is something I can relate too. And I did like the idea of a family, struggling to decide what's best for them. But I found the characters were so flat. The mom was mean and demanding, Becca was your typical 'I am not like other girls' trope and everyone just seemed so bland.
