Precious Ramotswe lives in
Botswania. When 2 new kids move into town, Teb and Pontsho, who have a pet
meerkat named Kosi. Precious hits it off
with them right away, but one morning Pontsho and Teb’s family cow disappears
without a trace. Now, Precious will have to use her detective skills and enlist
the help of Teb, Pontsho, and their meerkat to find what happened to the
animal. Will they succeed?
Although the writing style is
older and feels condescending, readers will enjoy the likable personalities of
the characters and the colorful, unique illustration. Readers who like
detective stories, mysteries, and friendship fiction will like reading this
