Fox, Janet Faithful, 319 p. Speak (Penguin), 2010. $8.99. Content: G. All Maggie wants to do is keep her nose clean, make a stunning debut and live down all of the ugly rumors and tales about her mother. Instead, she is dragged into the Wild West by her impoverished father in search of a younger sibling she knew she had. How on earth is she supposed to become a dignified lady with a rich husband in the untamed lands of Yellowstone, the new national park? When I picked up this book I expected something beautiful – just have a look at the cover. And I wasn’t disappointed. Yellowstone in 1890 is much different than the present day, but a girl’s concerns and hopes and dreams are not so much different. Romantic souls will find a home here. HS – ADVISABLE.
