This is a collection of fourteen stories that
highlight different events that took place in 1968. The stories are broken up into different
months with stats from the war as well as different headlines from those
months. My favorite stories were “The
Wrong Side of History”, “Running with Sharp Schticks” and “Running into History”. The topics were diverse and covered places and
events from throughout the world.
As a
whole, I wouldn’t recommend this book unless you are teaching this time period
because a lot of the stories assume you have an understanding of the history
taking place at the time. The content
includes police brutality, drug use, deaths and also mentions STDs.
