Beth Teller was killed in a car accident and her father is drowning in grief. Beth, caught somewhere between the living and dead, is able to see and speak to her father for now. Beth helps her father solve a murder mystery in their small town in Australia, with the help of the only witness, Isobel Catching. Catching speaks in riddles and had a haunting story to tell.  As Beth and her father piece together the facts of the town mystery, they discover a shocking hidden story. Catching is able to not only help solve the case, but help Beth's father come to grips with her death, and reconnect with his living family.

I liked this book because it was short and kept my interest the entire time.  The town mystery keeps the reader collecting clues and searching for answers. The riddle that Catching speaks can be a bit confusing.  Readers will have to infer what she is trying to say but the ending comes together nicely.
