Turtle in Paradise by Jennifer Holm
Holm, Jennifer Turtle in Paradise, 208 p. Random House, May 2010. Content - G. In 1935 Turtle is sent to Key West to live with her aunt and cousins (who she's never met before) when her mother gets a job as a live-in-housekeeper and her employer doesn't like children. Based on her great-grandmother's stories of living in Key West during the Depression, this is a great historical fiction novel. Turtles observations are hilarious. EL - ADVISABLE.
