Surviving Vesuvius is based on the letter written by Pliny the Younger to his friend Tacitus who wanted to know how Pliny's uncle had died. Harrisson tells a very fascinating, compelling, and sad story about the events of the Mount Vesuvius catastrophe. Waters interestingly helps us reimagine the characters and events.
