Alice’s older brother Ronald tries to scare them by saying that there is a monster named Big Minnie. Helen doesn’t believe in monsters, but Martha is a little scared. The night when their camping they hear noises. The girls and dog, outsmart the older brother, and there’s a lovely twist at the end.
The illustrations are reminiscent of a comic book with word blurbs. Martha’s fans will no doubt be delighted to accompany her on this adventure. The title is also available in a Spanish Bilingual edition.
