Ducks Away! by Mem Fox - ADVISABLE

A mother duck is walking over a bridge with her five little ducklings.  The wind picks up and blows one of the ducks into the river.  While the mother is trying to decide what to do, eventually one by one all the ducklings fall in.  The ducklings call up to their mother and she decides to fly down to be with them in the river.  

The bright illustrations in this book are adorable.  This would be a great read aloud because it has a sing song rhythm reminiscent of Five Little Monkey’s Jumping on the Bed or other such fun counting stories.  It would also make a great board book.
