The Great Art Caper (Pets on the Loose) by Victoria Jamieson -ADVISABLE

Jamieson, Victoria The Great Art Caper (Pets on the Loose), 63 pgs. Henry Holt (Macmillan), 2017. $8. Language: G ; Mature Content: G ; Violence: G
Hamster George Washington, GW is a school pet, in this latest installment, he and his two best friends, Sunflower and Barry uncover an evil plot by the upper grade mice (and their leader Harriet) to ruin the artshow and frame GW for it. Now they have to be brave and creative, especially because the art of Carina, GW’s favorite human is up for a possible award. Features darling graphic novel illustrations.
I didn’t read this first book in the series, but this once can function as a stand-alone. It was a fun adventure and a great easy to read graphic novel for 1st-3rd  graders, though upper grades fans of Jamieson will want to read this series as well, she has a loyal following at my school. Readers will love to see what class pets get up to during the night.
