The Winter Fox by Timothy Knapman - ADVISABLE

Knapman, Timothy The Winter Fox.  PICTURE BOOK.  Illustrated by Rebecca Henry.  Nosy Crow (Candlewick), 2017.  $15.

Fox is so busy playing that he doesn’t have time to get ready for winter.  When the first big snow hits, his friends are all snuggled up and warm, but Fox has no place to call home.  A strange package from the sky gives him an idea and after a day of play, his friends help him figure out how to stay warm all winter.

The silver gilding on the pages make this book extra sparkly.  It definitely helps that the story is well worth reading.  There is no explanation about where the box comes from.  But it could be fun to take a minute and make guesses with your friends.
