Even Monsters Need to Sleep by Lisa Wheeler, illustrated by Chris Van Dusen - ADVISABLE

Wheeler, Lisa.  Even Monsters Need to Sleep, illustrated by Chris Van Dusen.  Balzer + Bray (Harper Collins), 2017.  $17.99.  Content: G.  PICTURE BOOK.
Just like kids, monsters need to sleep too.  Bigfoot needs his blanket and a little light to go to sleep.  Aliens wear their pajamas.  Frankenstein likes to be tucked in to his chin.  The Yeti needs a snack. The troll needs to be read a book.  The Loch Ness monster gets a drink before bed.  So, monsters can close their eyes and have no need to be scared, because everybody needs to sleep.

A clever twist on bedtime routines using monsters instead of kids.  Younger kids especially will enjoy watching dragons and yetis doing the same mundane nighttime tasks like getting a drink before bed.  The illustrations are large, bright, engaging, and not one bit scary.  This book would be a great way to help put any monster or child to sleep.
