Dog on Board by Dorothy Patent - ADVISABLE

Patent, Dorothy Hinshaw and Jeffrey Young   Dog on Board: the true story of Eclipse, the bus-riding dog.  PICTURE BOOK.  Crown Books for Young Readers (imprint of Random House Children’s Books), 2016.  $16.99. Content: G.

What is a dog to do when his owner is too busy to take him to the dog park?  Why, hop on a bus and take himself of course!  When Eclipse accidentally boards a city bus without his buddy Jeff, he  manages to get himself all the way to the dog park by himself.  Jeff is worried but soon finds that Eclipse knows exactly where to go and how to get there.  Pretty soon he is taking the bus alone on a regular basis and becoming quite a celebrity in the process.

Children will love the story of this spunky, intelligent pup who frequents the city bus all by himself riding back and forth from his home and the city dog park.  Beautiful pictures of Seattle featuring the many adventures of Eclipse and his travels.
