Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han - OPTIONAL

Han, Jenny  Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before, #3), Lara Jean, 325 pgs.  Simon and Schuster, 2017.  $17.99  Content: Language: R (18 swears; 7 “F”); Mature Content: PG-13; Violence: G.

Lara Jean is in her senior year.  She is happily dating her boyfriend Peter, her father is getting married and she is confident she will get into UVA-the college of her dreams.  When Lara Jean’s plans change, she doesn’t know what to do and she is afraid she will lose Peter.

I have liked Lara Jean throughout the series because she is family-oriented, responsible and easy to care for.  This is the last book in the series and I got bored with all of the wedding planning and chocolate chip baking which is explained in pain-staking detail.   The ending isn’t as satisfying as I had hoped, but you can guess where it will go.  The mature content is the characters discuss sleeping together.

HS – OPTIONAL.  Reviewer, C. Peterson.
