Dream Magic by Joshua Khan-ADVISABLE

Khan, Joshua, Dream Magic. pgs. 336. Disney Hyperion, 2017. $16.99. Language: G, Mature Content: PG, Violence: PG

Things have definitely changed since Lilith Shadow began to use her magical powers. Zombies and other undead creatures are coming back to life. Her ghost of a father has come back to teach her magic. Her ghost dog is her protector. The biggest change for her and Thorn is that Tyburn, the family’s executioner has gone missing. When a body shows up missing that might be Tyburn, Thorn begins to worry what might have happened to his master. Can he and Lilith Shadow figure out what is going on before it’s too late?

The plot is complex, engaging, and full of mystery. The characters are unique, likable, and draw the reader into Lilith and Thorn’s world. The mix of paranormal, mystery, and action is well done and adds a lot of depth to the story. Fans of magic, dark fantasy, paranormal, adventure will enjoy reading this book.
