Jalen is a young boy about 13 years old that wants to be on a traveling baseball team. Jalen’s father owns a diner called the Silverliner. Jalen’s father could not afford the fees for the team, so Jalen decides to take matters into his own hands. The choices that he makes get him into trouble with a major league baseball player. Then Jalen tells a major secret to try to help James Yager the major league baseball player and himself. This book was a great book.

I liked the message that even if you are going through a hard time you will always get through it. The plot of the book was great, though it was slow getting started  Other than that the book was always exciting and  had my attention
