Ollie has a short run-in with each of his friends as they get ready for bed. One friend always stretches her legs before bed, another has a bedtime snack, and another likes to say goodnight to the animals and creatures around him. After seeing each of them head off to bed, Ollie whispers a “good night” and settles down to sleep himself.
I really liked this simple and effective bedtime story for younger readers. There are no twists or turns but merely animals calmly heading off to bed. This is also a Touch-and-Feel book, so each page has a piece with a different texture for kids to enjoy. I think putting together the cute artwork, the simple story, as well as the extra piece of “touch-and-feel” makes for a wonderful package on the whole. This is a book that will be well received by the youngest readers.
