Set in a blues bar on Tel Aviv beachfront, Mike’s Place is where people can go and grab a beer as long as they don’t talk about religion or politics. They survive, but at a price. Can the owners pick up the pieces and survive?

Based off a true story, the story is true to events. Illustrations are detailed and the text does a great job of complementing the illustrations. Readers needing to read a non-fiction book or a graphic novel will enjoy reading this book. MS, HS. ADVISABLE. Reviewer: Kira M, Youth Services Librarian, WHI Public Library.
